Loading firmware through Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card slot
Updating firmware
- Connect Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card to your computer
- Extract the compressed firmware update file (provided by Martem AS) to your SD Memory Card
- Disconnect the card from your computer
- Insert the card to Telem-GW6 SD Memory Card slot
- SD Memory Card slot is located at the back of the device
- Perform reset operation to Telem-GW6 device
- Wait until the device resumes to it’s normal operation state
- Update procedure can take up to a minute.
- Firmware update is complete. Remove the SD Memory Card and check if firmfare update was successful
Checking results of the firmware update operation
- Connect the SD Memory Card to your computer
- Open the folder you extracted earlier
- When update procedure is started, a file res.txt is created.
- Look at the end of res.txt to see the location for your device update logs.
Loading firmware via SFTP
Updating firmware
- Connect to GW6 over SSH
- Login as ftpuser (password is provided by Martem AS)
- Extract the compressed firmware update file (provided by Martem AS) to your computer and copy it to ftpuser directory
- Wait about 1 minute (this is unnecessary if reset is sent through the configuration program)
- Perform reset operation to Telem-GW6 device
- Wait until the device resumes to it’s normal operation state
- Firmware update is complete.
Checking results of the firmware update operation
- Open the ftpuser directory
- If update fails err.txt file is created with some description of error.
- Otherwise res.txt contains information about the last update.
